VENUE INFO:
Indoor use of facilities (UOF) began for Priority 2-5 community user groups (CUG) on October 26, 2021. FCPS COVID Guidelines are posted on the FCPS UOF webpage, so please review again. Prior to the indoor reopening, reminders were sent by the UOF Coordinator about the mask requirements while inside FCPS buildings. The UOF Coordinator has been making random site visits during CUG activities to confirm groups are following the mandatory mask requirements. During the past couple of weeks, failure to comply with masking has been reported, not only by the UOF Coordinator, but by other FCPS staff.
IMPORTANT:
- Everyone inside an FCPS building must be masked from the time they enter the building until the time that they exit the building.
- See CDC Mask Guidelines. Wearing of a mask on the chin is not acceptable. The nose and mouth must be fully covered.
- Coaches, spectators, and others must be masked 100% of the time while inside an FCPS building. See the FCPS COVID Guidelines for details regarding athletic activities.
- Athletes may remove their masks while actively participating in the athletic practice or competition. Sitting on the bench, waiting to go into a game or practice, does not constitute active participation and a mask must be worn.
- For those playing musical instruments, the mask may be removed only while engaged in playing of the instrument.
- For those presenting, a mask may be temporarily removed while speaking, being mindful of social distancing while mask is off.
- Your group should keep a supply of disposable masks on hand for those who may have forgotten one. If there are no masks available, those without a mask must immediately leave the building.
- Heated discussions with or derogatory comments to FCPS staff regarding compliance of the indoor mask requirements will not be tolerated.
- It is your responsibility to communicate and enforce the mask requirements with all who attend your group’s events.
- Failure to comply with mask requirements will result in revocation of your group’s privilege to use FCPS facilities.
